We believe that all young people should have access to the sanitary products they need without hindrance. That is why some of our Sixth Form students created ‘Proud, Period!’ an initiative to provide free sanitary products for girls, for free, in designated toilets around the school building.

Following a series of assemblies to boys and to girls, the project was launched, and has taken off, not only in Felixstowe School, but in other schools across Suffolk and beyond.

Designated toilets are marked with a discreet love heart logo, and within these toilets, there are boxes filled with multiple products for students to use. We encourage students and staff to pay back, if they can, or pay it forward. Donated items can be dropped off at the office or placed in a box.
