Purpose
To ensure the safety of students, staff, visitors and all site users, the school operates a restricted parking arrangement on its premises.
Parent Parking
The school car park is not available for parent or carer parking at any time, including at the start and end of the school day.
Parents and carers must not:
- Drive onto the school site for student drop-off or collection.
- Park in staff car parks or designated visitor spaces without prior authorisation.
- Wait in their vehicles on school premises during drop-off or collection periods.
- Use school access roads, turning areas or emergency access routes for parking or waiting.
Exceptions
Access to the site may be granted in exceptional circumstances, including:
- Blue Badge holders attending a pre-arranged meeting or event.
- Parents or carers transporting a student with specific medical, mobility or additional needs where prior arrangements have been agreed with the school and a permit issued.
- Other circumstances authorised in advance by the Operations Manager or member of the Senior Leadership Team on a temporary basis.
Drop-off and Collection
Parents and carers are expected to use public roads and permitted parking areas away from the school site and to follow all local parking restrictions. We ask parents and carers to have due regard for our neighbours and to park legally and respectfully.
Students should use designated pedestrian entrance at the front of school and exercise care when travelling to and from school.
Safety and Enforcement
These arrangements are in place to:
- Protect the safety of students and pedestrians.
- Maintain access for emergency vehicles.
- Reduce congestion on the school site.
- Ensure safe movement of school transport and authorised vehicles.
The school reserves the right to refuse entry to vehicles that do not comply with these arrangements and may take appropriate action where repeated breaches occur.
Review
These arrangements will be reviewed periodically to ensure they continue to support the safe operation of the school site.
